The earth holds stories below the surface. Come, explore them responsibly.
Along the Gosthani river, close to the famous Borra caves, lies a network of natural cave systems few people ever enter — river passages, hidden chambers, stalactite pillars, cave curtains and freshwater pools lit by skylights. This is a full day of walking, crawling, wading and swimming through them, with expert guides interpreting the geology and the life inside as you go.

Questions, answered
Do I need caving experience?
No. The route is guided end to end, and every section — walking, crawling, wading — is briefed before you enter it.
Will I get wet?
Completely, and happily. There are river crossings, pools and a swim stop — pack quick-dry clothes and a dry bag for your phone.
I'm nervous about tight spaces.
There are a few crawling sections; the guides move slowly through them and nobody is rushed. Tell us beforehand and we'll plan around you.
Is it safe?
Safety equipment is provided, the guides know these caves intimately, and the season (November–May) is chosen so water levels stay low.
Why not just visit Borra caves?
Borra has walkways and lights. This is the wild version — the same geology, experienced on its own terms.
What people say
“A privilege to explore and learn about the deep ecology of the Gosthani caves. Learning about the locality and communities through eco-sensitive perspectives was humbling. You must have ecohikes on your itinerary.”
“We were exploring parts of the caves not accessed by regular crowds — untouched, with wildlife at peace. Some climbing and crawling made it more fun. Naveen and Ravi guided us like pros.”
